MEDIA With purpose

I dedicate much of my work to projects that recognise our collective responsibility to restore and protect the planet.

Whether that means producing climate-content, supporting charities and NGOs internationally, or helping commercial production reduce its footprint on the ground, offering guidance on technical processes and editorial practices that reduce environmental impact.

With the BBC, I completed a dissertation on 'Sustainability in Broadcast', designing media facilities that are more planet friendly. I continue to work with the BBC to evaluate the environmental impact of media and broadcast production, as well as developing solutions to reduce it.

I’ve also studied the intersection of media and climate communication at Umeå University through a course in Media, Communication, and Sustainable Development. The programme explores effective approaches to communicating sustainability and fostering positive environmental change.

Fuel to Fork

When we bite into a juicy apple, barrels of crude oil and natural gas cylinders might not spring to mind. But fossil fuels are the hidden ingredient behind all of our food. From the diesel powering the tractors to the fertilizer in the field and plastic packaging, fossil fuels are the lifeblood of the food industry.
